My dear teacher, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith, was fond of saying ‘Happy New You!’ as the calendar pages turn.  I love the idea that YOU—my dear conscious wealth creators—are each expanding into even more spiritually connection and financial prosperity.  The goals, dreams and intentions you set for 2010 will absolutely call forward new talents, skills and capacities from a new you.

When you’re anxious, angry and overwhelmed with money issues you don’t have the clarity, confidence and creativity needed to make the best financial decisions.  In a rebuilding economy, it’s essential that your money mindset be as sharp as your money management. 
It may seem that the solution to distressed real estate, vanishing 401K’s and job pressures is simply getting a lot of money.  But there is no amount of money that can really supply what is needed to find security, freedom and prosperity.  What you really want is a financial experience that includes your bank account and the state of your body, mind and spirit.  That’s ‘Real Financial Power.’

Peace of Mind is NOT a Dollar Amount. Recent surveys indicate that while many people imagine that $1,000,000 provides financial security, individuals who actually have $1,000,000—the millionaires—say that it’s more like 2 million dollars that would keep them content!   And the ones with 2 million say they need 5… and so on!  Money is a neutral substance—we are the ones who make the meaning about money, we decide that the amount is a little or a lot.  Right now—you can decide that you are the meaning maker about your financial life.  And if you have access to reading this message, I’m assuming you have a standard of living that is likely in the top 80% of planet Earth.  Don’t feel guilty—just get grateful and choose to see that you can be at peace with your money now

You’re financially free when you choose a Win/Win Money Game. There’s a lot of conversation about ‘Main St vs. Wall St’ and ‘who’s to blame?’ in our American economy.  When you believe that someone must win and someone must lose in money matters, you’ll always feel pressured and constrained.  Complaining like a victim and controlling like a manipulator are the extreme examples of a win/lose mentality about money.  If you want freedom, creativity and possibility in your projects, investments and business, you’ll need to think, feel and talk from a partnership mindset.  Start now by acknowledging your connection with both sides of every financial transaction—and choose to be in collaboration with every financial decision you make going forward. 

Develop an Integrated Financial Life, including Spirituality, Beliefs and Habits.  This greatest financial pain comes from a sense of separation—the fear of not having enough, not being provided for or not being able to provide.  End that separation by connecting your spiritual life view, your mindset and your actions with your goals for your money life.  Cultivate a relationship with the Source behind the channels that money flows through and you build faith.  Focus your mental thoughts and your conversations on the positive intentions and you’re a creative financier.  Take conscious, deliberate, consistent actions with your money and you’re a good steward.  This holistic approach sets you up for a conscious financial life that is truly recession-proof. 

Real Financial Power is a state of being—you’re inspired about your financial future, mentally you’re free and creative, you’re systems and actions with money are in the flow AND you’re able to fund and support the lifestyle and commitments you choose.  Develop your spirituality, beliefs and habits with money and enjoy that power now.
